How can we make weight-bearing exercise effective and pain-free?
This 90-minute Master Class will teach effective and painless approaches to:
- Franklin Method® exercises that train your hand dexterity, flexibility and strength
- MELT Method® techniques that restore the supportive qualities of the hand, wrist and forearm fascia for optimal transfer of forces from hand to shoulder
- Exercises that help alleviate hand arthritis/stiffness, carpal tunnel syndrome and common elbow joint injuries
- Optimize alignment between shoulders and fingers in foundational weight-bearing positions such as “Plank” on hands and knees

- Flex-band or any elastic band at least 2 ft. long
- MELT Method Therapy Balls or similar

This comprehensive training program is available for purchase with “forever access” to the recordings via downloadable files that you store on your own device. This progressive, 3-part program focuses on restoring your upper body mobility, strength and posture using a unique combination of MELT Method®, Franklin Method® and STOTT PILATES® self-care techniques and exercises. You will notice immediate positive changes in how you feel and move!
Part 1: “Small Moves, Big Gains” Workshop
Running time: 1 hour, 20 minutes
MELT self-care sequences for the face, skull, neck, hands, forearms and elbows are combined with corrective exercises to “re-set” the head and neck for better posture and improved breathing and shoulder girdle mechanics during static and dynamic positions. MELT Therapy Balls and a Soft Body Roller are required.
Part 2: “Unlock Your Upper Body” Workshop
Running time: 2 hours, 15 minutes
Franklin Method exercises combined with MELT Upper Body Fascial Lengthening and Stability sequences to release held tension, improve alignment and facilitate proper muscle activation of the deep muscles that stabilize the spine and shoulder joints. A Soft Body Roller and light resistance band are required.
Part 3: “Pilates for a More Dynamic Posture” Master Class
Running time: 1 hour, 45 minutes
Full-body workout focused on developing balanced shoulder girdle muscle tone with upper spine mobilization in rotation, flexion and extension. Guidance for weight-bearing on hands and forearms for optimal form and muscle activation. A yoga block, light resistance band and a beach towel are required..
