Restorative Exercise Meets Nordic Walking
Build Strength Through Balance and Alignment

Join certified instructors Michele Carini and Nina LePage in this special event that will move you toward better function and health.

We’ll start the fun with targeted warm-up exercises for your backside, hips, spine and arms – all designed to support your body’s natural function and help you develop muscle strength, bone density, flexibility and balance. Learn Nutritious Movement™ Restorative Exercise techniques for improving how you stand, walk and hike, and introductory techniques for using Urban Poling Poles. The second hour of the event allows you to put the alignment and poling techniques into practice during a guided group Nordic Walk through New Edinburgh and Rockcliffe Park. If you’re gaining weight as you age, have the dreaded “flat butt”, creaky knees, a stiff back and hips, or simply want to incorporate more movement into your life, then this is the event for you!

All proceeds from this event go to the Ottawa Food Bank.

Fee: $35.00 before the event; $45.00 on April 26.

Registration: You must pre-register for this event by completing a waiver. Please contact Nina LePage: nina.lepage@gmail.com or 613.290.4285

Equipment: Please wear walking shoes with no or minimal heels, but come prepared to remove your shoes for the warm-up exercises. Urban Poles are available to loan. Bring your own exercise mat, if possible.

This is the workout for your greater good. We hope to see you there!
